Keys and references

Preserve source record identities during migration. Resolve reference links by record identity rather than matching display names. Most operational records expose Id; exchange rates exposes ID. Users includes a required User reference, and People.User connects a shop person to that user record.

Material posting matches Item and lot number. Inventory balances also carry Location, so settle the location-selection rule before importing ambiguous item-and-lot combinations. Post process steps.assigned to and production logs.Operator refer to People; personal views need the People.User mapping to resolve the current user.

Production logs and Batches join through work order. Post process steps joins directly to Build. Review output quantities by work order and finishing results by Build; for a pilot that compares individual print attempts, use a separate work order for each attempt and link its build and lot to that job.

Migration order

  1. Access and personnel. Establish Users, resolve User references and link People.User.
  2. Trading and production setup. Import Parties, Items and Resources; agree units and resource availability.
  3. Demand and purchasing. Import Orders and purchase orders before their order lines and purchase lines.
  4. Opening material. Reconcile inventory balances by Item, Location and lot number.
  5. Planned production. Import work orders with valid Product, Order, Resource and optional order line links.
  6. Operational evidence. Import print builds before post process steps; link material issues, production logs and Batches to their work orders. Reconcile historical posting states before enabling live actions.
