Keys and references

Each quote has a record number and a Revision; quote lines carry their own line number and the Revision they were priced for. Customers and Organizations each carry a Code. Import references by these stable codes and numbers, never by a display name that can change. Owner, Reviewer and uploaded by point at team members, and each team member points at a Users account, so load people before the work they did.

Every operation receipts entry carries an operation key such as handoff:<quoteId>:<revision> for a handoff. Keep those keys exactly when importing receipts so a retry after go-live finds the original. Keep monetary values in USD as the quote fields expect, and do not import an external reference that the order system has not confirmed.

Migration order

  1. Load Organizations, then Users and team members with their role name and Organization.
  2. Load Customers with Code, contact name, Address and eligibility note.
  3. Load open Quotes with record number, Revision, Status, valid until, Owner and Counterparty, then their quote lines.
  4. Load aerospace requirements, then review decisions and record attachments for the open quotes.
  5. Load operation receipts only where the source can prove the outcome; leave unconfirmed handoffs Pending.
  6. Reconcile net amount USD against the sum of net line USD, test permissions with each role and replay the exception cases before opening the first operating cycle.
