Systems to connect
- Survey tools. Set up the handoff for boundary geometry and survey dates when captures originate in another tool. Check the field reference and hectare area before saving the capture.
- Field data collection. Connect the team’s chosen collection tool if work or observation records arrive from outside the app. Preserve the field, date, unit and authenticated person’s identity in the transfer.
- Input purchasing and accounting. Reconcile opening stock and later quantity updates with the team’s purchasing records. Agree which system owns each correction and how it affects the operating balance.
- Buyer and transport systems. Share reviewed harvest quantities with the relevant external process when needed. Preserve the crop-cycle reference, unit and grade, and agree how the recipient confirms receipt of the handoff.
How connections are governed
Give each handoff a named owner and an agreed record identity. Rehearse a valid transfer, an invalid field reference and a repeated request before using live records. Check units at both ends and keep credentials outside operating notes. Farm Manager owns the field and cycle context, Stock Controller reconciles input quantities, and Harvest Reviewer owns acceptance of the harvested amount. A successful transfer still needs the receiving team’s operating review.
