Approve and Execute Field Work

Review the assigned task and input lot before carrying out work and recording consumption.

Step by step

  1. Prepare the task Farm Manager

Farm Manager chooses the field, crop cycle, task type and assigned operator. The Planned task includes its due date so the crew can organize the work.

    • Planned work identifies the field and operator
    • Updates Field tasks, Fields, Crop cycles, Team members
  2. Approve the work Farm Manager

Farm Manager reviews the references and authorizes the move from Planned to Approved. Check that the field and cycle are in the allowed operating states for the planned activity.

    • Manager authorizes Approved work
    • Updates Field tasks, Fields, Crop cycles
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  3. Check the input Stock Controller

Stock Controller reviews the selected lot, expiry, unit and requested quantity. An expired lot or insufficient stock needs resolution before input-consuming work proceeds.

    • Lot readiness is checked for execution
    • Updates Input stocks, Field tasks
  4. Record execution Field Operator

Field Operator carries out the assigned task through the authorized work path. Input consumption appends usage against the task and lot, with a corresponding stock deduction. A repeated request should retain the original consumption outcome.

    • Consumption links the quantity to the task and lot
    • Updates Input usage, Input stocks, Field tasks, Team members, Users
  5. Complete the task Farm Manager

Field Operator records the work as Completed with its completion date. Farm Manager follows the remaining work and updates crop progress as the cycle advances.

    • Completion date and crop progress support follow-up
    • Updates Field tasks, Crop cycles

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Wrong operating state. A task can point to an unsuitable field or cycle. Review the allowed states before approval and again at execution.
  • Unit mismatch. The requested unit must agree with the selected lot before its quantity is consumed.
  • Repeated execution. Check that a retry does not append duplicate usage or deduct the same quantity again.
