Input and Field Evidence

Review lot consumption alongside field applications and scouting observations without mixing their meanings.

Step by step

  1. Review the consumed lot Stock Controller

Stock Controller follows recorded usage to the input stock and task. Compare the quantity with the lot's unit and remaining position, keeping different lots distinct during the review.

    • Lot consumption is reconciled to its task
    • Updates Input usage, Input stocks, Field tasks
  2. Record the application Field Operator

Field Operator records the input name, application date, quantity and unit against the field. Select the named applicator through the team record so the farm can reach the responsible person.

    • Application details identify field and applicator
    • Updates Input applications, Fields, Team members
  3. Record the observation Agronomist

Agronomist records the field, observation date, evidence type and measured value with its unit. Notes explain the conditions needed to interpret the reading.

    • Dated measurements and notes remain with the field
    • Updates Agronomy evidence, Fields
  4. Compare the field history Agronomist

Agronomist and Farm Manager review the dated application and observation records for the field. Resolve inconsistent units or terms before comparing values, and select the dates relevant to the crop under discussion.

    • Field evidence is reviewed in crop context
    • Updates Input applications, Agronomy evidence, Crop cycles
  5. Prepare the harvest review Farm Manager

Farm Manager uses the field evidence to prepare the operating discussion. Harvest Reviewer uses the actual delivery quantity for acceptance; a scouting estimate remains part of the observation history.

    • Actual delivery quantities are distinguished from estimates
    • Updates Crop deliveries, Crop cycles, Agronomy evidence

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Different units. A measured value is difficult to interpret without its unit. Keep unlike readings separate until the team resolves the comparison.
  • Double counting. Application history and lot-linked usage answer different questions. Do not add them together as though they were separate consumption events.
  • Wrong field period. A field may have successive crop cycles. Check the observation and application dates before discussing them with the current crop.
