Keys and references
A deal references its seller, buyer, commodity and broker. Each commission line references the deal, the client charged and the rate card that prices it; its rate percent, per-MT rate, flat fee and minimum are read from that card, and its deal value, quantity and date from the deal. Receipts reference the line they pay. Trace any amount on a statement back through its line to the card and the deal.
Migration order
- Masters. Load Commodities with category, unit and benchmark price, Brokers with region and target, then Clients with credit days.
- Rate cards. Import each client’s current rate cards with side, commodity, rate components and effective dates, and activate them.
- Open deals. Import deals still in progress, then check that each has a seller and a buyer commission line priced from the right rate card.
- Open commission. For delivered deals not yet paid, set the line billing status, invoice date and due date, then import receipts against the lines.
- History. Add past deals and mandi prices needed for the trends once the open records reconcile.
