Keys and references
Use stable record identities when resolving references. Human-facing numbers help the team recognize a record during review. The Reservation reference on flight turns and gate assignments connects each entry to Trips. Review their flight and gate context through that shared trip. Treat trip stops as a separate location-planning reference list during import.
Map People.User to the intended Users record before assigning delivery evidence. Users.User is a self-reference; preserve valid account links from the source. Keep exchange rates under its designated read-only source owner and agree the currency convention used for transaction amounts.
Migration order
- Reconcile Users identities and their self-references, then load People with the correct User mapping and Active value.
- Load Parties and Vehicles, checking Name, vehicle number, Capacity and Status against operating records.
- Load the separate trip stops planning information, then Trips with valid Customer and Vehicle references.
- Load flight turns and gate assignments using Reservation to resolve the intended Trips identity.
- Load delivery evidence with valid Trip, Vehicle and assigned to references; preserve due at, completed at and Status.
- Load trip charges and transport documents against Trips. Check Posted and Confirmed totals separately and reconcile the read-only exchange rates source before using its values.
