Who it's for

Contract assembly operations

Contract assembly teams need to connect shop-floor work to the customer commitment that started it. Assembly Line Tracking links each work order to a customer order while keeping station movement and production output available for review. Manager owns the demand decision, Production Planner prepares the run, and Quality Reviewer decides when accepted output can enter finished stock.

How Assembly Line Tracking is set up for you

Customer context

Customer orders retain item lines, quantities and required dates. Production Planner checks that context when preparing the product, quantity and planned dates on the work order.

Release discipline

The production action checks that the customer order is Approved or Released and that the assigned resource is Available. A failed check leaves the planned work unchanged while the responsible person corrects the input.

Supplier follow-up

Purchase orders and their item lines show ordered and received quantities. Production Planner can review component supply before the floor attempts to post consumption.

Acceptance handoff

Production Operator records good and scrap output for the run. Quality Reviewer identifies the Pending lot and releases eligible accepted output, after which the planner checks completed work and finished stock.

Assembly Line Tracking links each work order to a customer order while keeping station movement and production output available for review. Manager owns the demand decision, Production Planner prepares the run, and Quality Reviewer decides when accepted output can enter finished stock.

Select a customer order whose product and component requirements are well understood by the team. Agree who approves the demand, who maintains station availability and who will receive the output for review. Prepare the route and stock, then take the order through production release and material posting.

Use a sample serial to rehearse station capture and include a rejected duplicate submission. End an operator interval and review the resulting pending batch with the person responsible for acceptance. Confirm the finished balance after release before discussing customer fulfillment. Where customer order intake or shipping runs in another system, define that connection and reconcile its identifiers during setup. Keep the first cycle small enough for the customer-order owner to follow it through with the floor.
