How the model is organised

Asset Register

Tracked assets holds asset tag, Name, home location, Manufacturer, serial number, commissioned at and Status. It is the shared equipment reference for the operational records.

Preventive Maintenance

Maintenance schedules links to tracked assets and retains interval days, interval hours, last serviced at and next due at.

Condition Monitoring

Asset usage meters links each Reading to the asset, with reading at, meter type, Unit and action limit.

Maintenance Work

Maintenance tickets links the asset and Technician. Maintenance logs links each work entry to maintenance ticket and Technician, with started at, ended at and work performed.

Parts and Reorder

Part usage joins maintenance tickets and spare parts with Quantity and used at. Spare parts holds the catalog unit, quantity on hand and reorder point.

Warranty and Service History

Warranty information links its validity dates and issuer to maintenance tickets; the asset resolves through that ticket. Calibration certificates links directly to both tracked assets and maintenance tickets with the service date, result and next due date.

Identity

Employees links to Users through User. Preserve the published Users.User self-reference when mapping existing identities.

Keys and references

Use stable record identities for links. Asset tag and serial number help staff identify equipment, but the record reference determines which asset receives the reading or maintenance effect. Check that the certificate’s asset agrees with the asset on its linked maintenance ticket.

Resolve personal work through Employees.User before applying a current-user filter to Technician. Follow warranty information.maintenance ticket to that ticket’s tracked asset when checking coverage eligibility. Keep part usage attached to the posting’s intended ticket and part so a stock reduction remains explainable.

Migration order

  1. Resolve Users and Employees identities, including employee status and user mappings.
  2. Load tracked assets and spare parts with agreed equipment identities, catalog units and opening balances.
  3. Load maintenance schedules and asset usage meters against the correct assets, distinguishing historical readings from new command execution.
  4. Load maintenance tickets with valid asset and technician references, then warranty information against those tickets and issuers.
  5. Load maintenance logs and calibration certificates with consistent ticket, asset and employee references.
  6. Reconcile historical part usage with opening stock before any live posting; importing history must not decrement stock a second time.
