Warranty to authorized work

Check current approved coverage against the exact ticket and asset before authorizing maintenance.

Step by step

  1. Prepare the request Maintenance Planner

Maintenance Planner records the maintenance ticket against the selected asset, with a description, Technician and due date. Confirm whether the requested work is Preventive, Corrective or Inspection before routing the request.

    • Establish the requested work and assignment
    • Updates Maintenance tickets, Tracked assets, Employees
  2. Prepare eligible coverage Maintenance Approver

Maintenance Approver reviews the warranty record under the coverage approval practice agreed during setup. Check the issuer and validity dates. The maintenance command requires Approved coverage whose interval includes today.

    • Review approval, issuer and current validity
    • Updates Warranty information, Employees, Maintenance tickets
  3. Authorize the ticket Maintenance Approver

Maintenance Approver authorizes the work through the planning command. It verifies the ticket, its tracked asset and current approved warranty, then advances the ticket to Approved and Scheduled with its assignee and due date.

    • Validate eligibility and advance to Approved and Scheduled
    • Updates Maintenance tickets, Warranty information, Tracked assets
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Apply the warranty control Maintenance Approver

When the operating process calls for the warranty-record action, Maintenance Approver uses the same ticket and coverage context. That command checks the approved interval before applying the authorized ticket state. Confirm the permitted action during setup and rehearse it separately from inspection acceptance.

    • Verify coverage before the authorized ticket transition
    • Updates Warranty information, Maintenance tickets, Tracked assets

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Expired coverage. An Approved status alone does not establish that the interval still covers today.
  • Wrong ticket. A current warranty for another maintenance ticket cannot justify the request being authorized.
  • Assumed closure. The warranty action and inspection acceptance have different operating purposes. Rehearse the actual authorized transition for each.
