How the model is organised
People and organization
People link to Departments, Positions, Locations, pay grades and payroll calendars. State history retains effective employment changes.
Time and leave
Attendance sessions hold weekly approval state. Attendance events hold daily hour detail. Leave requests use leave types, while leave balances preserve dated accrual position.
Payroll
Payroll runs belong to payroll calendars; pay statements belong to a run and person; pay statement lines carry earning, deduction and tax detail.
Employee lifecycle
Job requisitions, Applications, Offers, onboarding checklists, benefit enrollments, performance reviews and training records connect work before and after a hire.

Keys and references
Keep the employee identifier stable. A weekly timesheet belongs to one person, and its daily events reference that header. Leave requests and balances each reference a person and leave type. Statements reference both a person and a run. Match external identifiers to these records during migration rather than creating duplicate workers.
Migration order
- Load Departments, Locations, job titles, pay grades, Positions and payroll calendars.
- Load People with current manager, position, department and calendar references.
- Load leave types and dated leave balances.
- Bring over open attendance sessions and their attendance events, followed by open leave requests.
- Reconcile payroll runs, pay statements and pay statement lines for the agreed history period.
- Add the employee lifecycle records that the team will operate in this app.
