How a Audit Management rollout works

Configure a bounded audit cycle and rehearse the review handoffs.

  1. Agree the pilot

Select a business unit and assessment period. The Audit Manager defines the audit subject, expected evidence and response arrangements. A supplier access review is a useful starting case when its participants and documents are available.

  2. Prepare the directories

Admin checks organization identities and audited entities, then prepares team access. Agree who will act as Auditor, Audit Manager and Control Owner, and identify the Independent Assurance Reviewer for follow-up work.

  3. Prepare the working records

Load the control descriptions and create the assessment. Prepare a Draft engagement with the relevant entity and organization. Review sample descriptions before importing further test detail.

  4. Rehearse the decisions

Issue an engagement and inspect its receipt. Prepare a finding, practice a Return decision, then complete a supported approval. Prepare a response and have the Audit Manager authorize release.

  5. Review follow-up evidence

Record a retest sample and reasoned decision. Test evidence access under normal accounts and investigate an operation exception with the person responsible for it.

  6. Release the operating cycle

Confirm access, reference matching and the team's handling of response dates. Agree how the Audit Manager will review assessment closure and who will maintain the setup after the pilot.

What the customer provides

Bring the organization directory, control descriptions and assessment calendar, together with representative finding evidence. Name the decision makers and provide access to the chosen evidence repository through the normal sign-in process. Explain any external source references that the team expects to carry into response records.

Changing it afterwards

Rehearse a changed permission or state-handling rule against the pilot records before using it across the portfolio. Check existing references when renaming directories or controls. Review the effect on working queues with the Auditor and Audit Manager so a configuration change does not silently change how they interpret unfinished work.
