Inventory Clerk checks the active item and eligible location. Where the work arrives on a load, inspect the transfer, induction slot and handling unit before preparing the stock instruction.

Inventory Clerk records the item, location, counterparty location, requested units and required date under the responsible owner and organization. Assemble the supporting evidence and prepare Draft work for Review.

Decide on the revision Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor checks the current quantity and scope, then records Approved, Rejected, Returned or Escalated with a reason. Approval moves the reviewed request into Approved and increments its revision.

Hand off the decision Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk reads the decision and matching receipt. Approved work can proceed through its eligible stock actions. Returned or escalated work follows the correction path agreed with the supervisor.

And how to keep it from happening.

Mixed quantity units. Compare requested units with the item's base unit before deciding. A storage instruction must retain the same quantity meaning when executed.
Ambiguous locations. The counterparty is a storage location. Confirm how both location references are used for the particular request.
Old revision reused. A quantity change invalidates the earlier review input. The guarded review refuses stale revisions and requests already Executed or Cancelled.
