Robot task review and completion

Submit the current task revision, obtain a decision from someone other than its creator and complete eligible approved work.

Step by step

  1. Prepare device-referenced work Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk links a Draft task to the stock request and organization. Check the device reference and requested units, and establish how the controller event reference will be supplied.

    • Establish Draft context
    • Updates Robot tasks, Stock requests
  2. Submit the task Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk submits the current revision, moving Draft to Submitted. The accepted action increments the revision for the review handoff.

    • Draft to Submitted; increment Revision
    • Updates Robot tasks
  3. Decide independently Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor approves or rejects the Submitted task. The deciding person must be different from its creator, and the decision must use the current revision.

    • Submitted to Approved or Rejected; increment Revision
    • Updates Robot tasks
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Complete eligible work Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk moves an Approved task to Completed through the guarded action. Preserve the operating evidence and any event reference from the separately configured controller connection.

    • Approved to Completed; increment Revision
    • Updates Robot tasks
  5. Check stock evidence Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor examines the parent request's movement evidence separately. A completed task does not establish that the authorized stock quantity has been reconciled.

    • Inspect quantity effect
    • Updates Stock requests, Stock movements, Operation receipts

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Creator decides the task. A supervisory label does not remove the independence requirement. Use another eligible reviewer when the supervisor created the work.
  • Stale revision follows a handoff. Every accepted transition raises the revision. Reload the current version before another action.
  • Controller reference treated as completion proof. Agree what event evidence means and inspect the stock effect through the parent request's postings.
