What you can do

Follow the money actually released

An approved amount establishes the lending decision. Funding begins when an eligible reviewed action books the loan from those terms and submits a disbursement to the connected provider. The account records its provider identity and disbursed principal. Disbursement records retain the actual tranche amount, method and provider event, giving the team evidence for what was released.

Credit Officer requests the eligible action through the agreed workflow. Independent Credit Approver can inspect the resulting account, disbursements and repayment schedule. A held tranche needs investigation before the team describes it as funded. The operating position should reflect actual releases even when the approved facility is larger or the provider completes the request in separate tranches.

How the work is organized

  • Approved terms. Start from the reviewed application revision and its approved amount, rate and term. Carry the borrower and product references into the booked account so the team can trace the facility back to its decision.
  • Provider release. Submit under a stable operation identity and retain the provider event for the actual result. A repeated request should resolve to the existing operation. Scheduled, Held and Released distinguish preparation, an exception and a confirmed release.
  • Repayment obligations. Create the repayment schedule as part of the funding workflow. Review installment numbers, due dates and schedule version with the loan account. The servicing team needs the applicable schedule before allocating a receipt.

What to agree during setup

Choose the provider connection and its confirmation rules before enabling funding. Agree which person investigates a timeout, held release or unexpected amount. Record the account and event identifiers the provider returns. The team must be able to distinguish an uncertain response from a new instruction before deciding whether a retry is appropriate.

Reconcile the approved terms with the booked account and installment amounts during the pilot. Agree the meaning of original principal, disbursed principal and outstanding principal for reporting. Confirm the rate and term used to create the schedule. The account’s next payment date is useful for follow-up, while the installment records carry the dated obligations used in allocation.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Take an approved equipment facility whose provider releases an initial tranche and holds the remainder. Inspect the released amount and provider event. Confirm that the recorded funded principal follows the actual release, and that the held tranche remains visible for investigation. Review the repayment schedule with the person responsible for servicing the account.

Repeat the provider callback, then repeat the original request after simulating a response timeout. Use the same operation identity and compare the persisted effects before submitting further instructions. Finish by checking an unconfirmed response: its receipt should remain an exception until the expected effect can be verified. The team should be able to explain every released amount without using the approval alone as evidence.

What your team sees

  • Funding Queue — Inspect approved applications and terms before requesting the eligible funding action.
  • Disbursement Outcomes — Track released and held tranches with their verification state and provider event.
  • Due Installments — Review dated obligations with the schedule version used for servicing.

Follow the work through

Use funding and reconciliation for provider handoffs, then continue with repayment and servicing.
