Keys and references

Preserve the appointment’s reservation number and its actual reference identity when matching child records. Retain party number for Clients, unit code for Chairs and person code for team members. Payment number identifies the local payment, while Reference carries the external receipt reference used in reconciliation. Do not join clients or chairs by display names alone.

Users.User is a self-reference. Resolve platform user identities before linking team members.User, then map service tickets.assigned to to the intended team members row. Chair type on service rates is text rather than a reference, so agree exact matching and date applicability. Keep exchange rates read-only. Agree the shop’s monetary basis before reconciling imported amounts.

Migration order

  1. Resolve Users and their User references, then load team members with the correct User links.
  2. Load Clients and Chairs, agreeing chair type and Capacity, then load dated service rates.
  3. Load Appointments with their Client and Chair references and complete planned intervals.
  4. Load add on bookings, add on charges, service charges and Payments against the existing Appointment identities.
  5. Load service tickets with matching Chair, Appointment and assigned to references. Leave exchange rates outside the business-record import.
  6. Reconcile posted charges and confirmed payments separately. Check staff identity mappings and chair readiness before opening the pilot.
