Open the pending batch Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer selects the batch awaiting inspection. Check its lot, production and expiry dates and linked work order. Use Batch Release Inbox to keep the Pending disposition visible during preparation.

Inspect the evidence Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer checks batch inputs, output categories and the work order's production intervals. Resolve questions about source lots or quantity units before approving accepted output. Held and Rejected dispositions remain visible for follow-up.

Approve accepted output Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer approves the inspected eligible good terminal output. The release action checks that the good output has not already been received before recording its inventory effect.

The action receipts the finished inventory balance once, marks the batch Released and completes the work order. Quality Reviewer checks those results together; Planner follows the completed production against its customer demand.

And how to keep it from happening.

Recording a good output quantity is mistaken for permission to release it. The quality decision must happen before the accepted inventory effect.
A response is interrupted after the first successful release. Inspect the batch and inventory result before retrying; the same output cannot be received twice.
Rework or scrap is included in the good receipt quantity. Keep the output categories visible when checking the receipt.
