Interval to quality review

Move the recorded production interval into the quality queue with a visible yield calculation.

Step by step

  1. Select the work and operator Operator

Operator identifies the work order and the person responsible for the run. The person must be linked to the correct user identity so personal log filtering follows the actual operator.

    • Resolve production and person references
    • Updates Work orders, People, Users
  2. Record the interval Operator

Operator enters the start and end times with good and scrap units. Use the agreed time zone and quantity unit. Check the actual production interval even when entry happens later.

    • Prepare times and quantities
    • Updates Production logs
  3. Save production Operator

Operator ends the interval through the production capture action. It saves the log with its work order and operator links and routes the work order to quality review.

    • Save the interval and route work to quality review
    • Updates Production logs, Work orders
  4. Inspect the yield basis Planner

Planner reviews good units divided by good plus scrap units. Keep both amounts visible and leave a zero denominator without a percentage. Use the work order and operator filters on Production Logs and Details to select comparable work.

    • Explain the numerator and denominator
    • Updates Production logs
  5. Prepare the inspection Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer follows the log to the batch evidence. Selecting a log reveals material issues and inventory balances for the work under review. Accepted output still goes through the reviewer's release decision.

    • Assemble the batch context
    • Updates Batches, Batch inputs, Batch outputs, Material issues, Inventory balances

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • An end time precedes its start. Correct the interval before capture can complete.
  • The daily entry trend is read as a production calendar. Entry creation date and the actual interval answer different questions.
  • Good units are assumed to be accepted stock. Review the batch release result before relying on a finished inventory receipt.
