Output quantities to review

Prepare separate good, rework and scrap amounts for the batch inspection.

Step by step

  1. Choose the batch and output item Operator

Operator checks the batch lot and linked work order before selecting the output item. Confirm the unit used for the quantities so a review does not combine containers with bulk weight.

    • Resolve the output context
    • Updates Batches, Work orders, Items
  2. Separate the result Operator

Operator records good quantity, rework quantity and scrap quantity. Keep each category visible. The team should be able to explain the quantities from the physical result of the run.

    • Record good, rework and scrap quantities
    • Updates Batch outputs
  3. Save the evidence Operator

Operator submits the output capture action. It resolves the selected references and checks that the batch exists before saving the attributed record. Review the saved batch and item before leaving the capture screen.

    • Validate references and save attributed output
    • Updates Batch outputs, Batches, Items
  4. Compare the run Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer examines the output alongside production intervals and batch inputs. Differences need an explanation tied to the actual units and work. Do not add interval totals to batch totals to describe the same output twice.

    • Review the quantities and units
    • Updates Batch outputs, Batch inputs, Production logs
  5. Prepare the release decision Quality Reviewer

Quality Reviewer reviews the batch's disposition and the inspected output. Planner uses the separated quantities to understand the production result while accepted output proceeds to its own release action.

    • Identify the batch awaiting acceptance
    • Updates Batches, Work orders

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Output is attached to another batch of the same product. Check the lot and work order before saving.
  • Rework is added to good quantity during a progress discussion. Keep the original categories visible when planning the next action.
  • Similar totals with different units appear comparable. Read the unit before calculating a difference or combining amounts.
