How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Blood Bank Management for your business. Begin with a donor collection team, its consent documents and an upcoming appointment cycle. Rehearse screening, unit processing and donor follow-up with the people who will perform the handoffs.

How do we handle returning donors?

The Clinical Coordinator checks the donor number, name and birth date before selecting the identity for a new donation. Update contact details on the intended donor record and assign the screener responsible for the appointment.

Where do consent documents belong?

Record the consent purpose and version with its document, signed date and expiry date. The Clinical Coordinator or Licensed Clinician records Signed, Withdrawn or Expired as applicable under the team’s consent procedure.

Who completes a donation review?

The Clinical Reviewer examines the screening and laboratory evidence and authorizes completion. The Clinical Coordinator records the donation outcome after that decision. Agree how the decision is communicated and retained during setup.

How are laboratory observations recorded?

The Licensed Clinician records the test type, value, unit and test time against the donation, with the recording professional identified. Set up a laboratory service connection if results arrive from an external system and agree the matching procedure before imports begin.

What does Operations Overview show?

Operations Overview presents blood unit intake, the distribution of current lifecycle states and recent collection evidence. Use the working unit record to investigate an accession number or processing state that needs attention.

How do we record a rejected blood unit?

The Licensed Clinician records Rejected on the intended blood unit under the team’s processing procedure. Check the accession number and donation first, then review the associated donation evidence with the Clinical Reviewer when needed.

How is follow-up work assigned?

The Clinical Coordinator creates a donor task with an assigned team member and due date. The Licensed Clinician records progress and completion, or escalates the task when further attention is required. Agree who reviews escalated work during each operating cycle.

How do processing charges and payments work?

The Clinical Coordinator reviews service charges against donations and records the billing handoff. The Admin maintains donor payment records using external receipt references and confirmation evidence. Set up the accounting connection for allocation and reconciliation.

What should we prepare before the pilot?

Bring donor identities, consent evidence, professional credential information and the people responsible for review. Agree donation and component wording, rehearse a cancelled appointment and rejected unit, and inspect the role access before the first operating cycle.
