Custody operations
A custody team handles transfers involving external account holders and provider-held accounts. Party ownership, account code and external account identifier matter as much as the transfer amount. The transfer record gives the team one place to examine the requested movement, independent decision, provider instruction and later settlement evidence.
How Branch Operations is set up for you
Account scope
Review each debit and credit account against its owning party before authorizing the transfer.
Decision
Preserve the reviewer’s reason and the revision they inspected.
Event evidence
Link provider confirmations and corrections to the parent transfer.
Balance question
Compare dated account snapshots and source movements when a ledger position needs explanation.

Choose a small set of active parties and accounts for a pilot. Record each provider and external account identifier so the reconciliation team can distinguish accounts with similar names. Prepare a transfer with balanced debit and credit rows and a supporting attachment. Have an independent Credit Reviewer decide on that revision, then follow the provider instruction into verified settlement evidence.
When a provider movement arrives, check its account, exact amount and confirmed occurrence date before marking it Matched. Keep an Exception visible when one of those facts differs. An Auditor can then start from the provider event and work backward to the request and decision. Agree which team member investigates corrections and how the original evidence stays visible. Check the provider event identifier before treating a correction as another movement.
