Booking to reservation

The Booking Coordinator starts with the customer's service request. The Dispatcher then prepares the intended resource arrangements within the carrier organization. Use the booking as the common reference so customer details and operating preparations remain connected when the request changes hands.

Step by step

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Ambiguous identity. Similar service subjects lead a person to work on a different customer's booking.
  • Unclear units. Dispatch and the reviewer interpret a resource's capacity and reserved units differently.
  • Changed service window. A customer changes the return time without the resource owner or Dispatcher revisiting the arrangement.
