Keys and references

Preserve reservation number as the human meal-booking number and the source identifiers used by references. Link child charges, payments, counter work and service tasks to the intended meal bookings record. A service tasks.dining area reference must agree with the relevant booking context before staff act on the task.

Rate plans.area type is text rather than a reference to dining areas. Agree how area-type values are matched during setup. Resolve service tasks.assigned to through team members.User for personal task access. Users.User is a self-reference that needs an established identity mapping before migration. Exchange rates uses ID as its identifier.

Migration order

  1. Establish Users and team members identity mappings, including Active and role name.
  2. Import Diners and dining areas with recognizable numbers, area types and seating capacity.
  3. Prepare rate plans and read-only exchange rates with their effective dates and agreed amount interpretation.
  4. Import meal bookings with valid diner and dining-area references, service dates and lifecycle status.
  5. Link counter bookings, meal charges, counter charges and Payments to their parent bookings, preserving financial statuses and references.
  6. Import service tasks with the correct area, booking and staff assignee; reconcile open work before enabling service actions.
