Systems to connect
- Payment confirmation source. Select the payment processor or receipt system your team uses. Configure the connection and agree which response is sufficient evidence to confirm a payment against the meal booking.
- Accounting system. If posted meal and counter charges need a downstream accounting handoff, agree the mapping and acknowledgment with that system during setup. Keep the booking identity and payment reference available for reconciliation.
- Exchange-rate source. Establish the source of the read-only effective rates. Agree the operating currency and any conversion procedure before using amounts prepared in another currency.
How connections are governed
The Finance Officer reconciles receipt evidence against the selected meal booking. Service completion cannot stand in for a payment-provider response or create confirmation on its behalf. Keep the account unresolved until the supported settlement or outstanding-balance path has been followed.
Assign connection maintenance and restrict credentials to the people responsible for that work. Test repeated messages and uncertain responses before relying on an external result. A connection should preserve the source case and its operation identity so the reviewer can distinguish an actual outcome from another attempt. Agree who investigates a disagreement between the source receipt and the local payment state.
