Instrument use and operating systems
- Inspection and test records. Configure imports that retain the instrument, range, actual use time and stable external inspection, lot, serial or job key. Historical invalid use stays available for assessment.
- Instrument availability. Export current status together with range authorization and restrictions, with acknowledgement tracking where an operating system consumes it. Physical interlocks or assignment restrictions require explicit implementation and testing in that system.
Provider evidence and quality cases
- Laboratory documents. Ingest original certificate files with issuer identifiers, revisions and digests. An upload requests review; it does not approve results or release an instrument.
- Quality case handoff. Send approved assessment context through a configured connection and retain the external case key. Distinguish requested delivery from acknowledgement and from the external decision itself.
Metrology references
Customer technical authorities determine applicable methods and requirements. NIST traceability guidance, NIST interval guidance and ILAC’s G8 and G24 guidance provide domain context. Apply the guidance relevant to your measurement activity with your technical authority.
How connections are governed
service accounts, audit, pausingConfigure the connections your team needs, keep credentials outside business records, restrict service identities by tenant and purpose, and test retries and conflicting events. Keep unknown instrument mappings and changed payloads in a visible exception queue. Reconciliation must show whether the local event was applied and whether the external system acknowledged it. Failed integrations do not grant temporary permission to use held equipment.
