Process steps
Follow the process from start to finish. Select a step to see who acts and what changes.
Assemble comparable evidence
Calibration Coordinator gathers results, uncertainty context, failure history and use conditions for the current plan. As-Found Drift History helps locate comparable observations; changed points, units or methods must remain distinguishable.
Propose the interval
Calibration Coordinator records the proposed positive interval, rationale and supporting evidence. The request identifies the current plan revision and the requirements considered. It does not modify the current due date while awaiting approval.
Evaluate the proposal
Metrology Reviewer checks whether the evidence supports the intended use and whether customer or other applicable requirements constrain the choice. Missing information returns for clarification instead of being replaced by a universal default.
Approve the future change
An independent Metrology Reviewer approves or rejects the proposal. An approval records a prospective effective date and creates a new controlled plan revision. The preparer cannot approve their own request.
Reconcile scheduled work
Calibration Coordinator identifies open jobs and reminders affected by the new plan. Prior orders keep their frozen revisions. Historical overdue use remains assessable against the obligation that applied at the time.

Approve the future change
Metrology Reviewer signs · reconcile scheduled work waits
IntervalReviews, CalibrationPlans - Do not extend an interval to make an existing overdue exception disappear.
- Preserve rejected proposals and the evidence reviewedThem.
- Do not compare measurementsDifferent units or method contexts as if they were identical.
- Require new approval when the underlying plan changes during review.

Process reports
All reportsInterval Decision History
Links approved or rejected cadence changes to evidence, effective dates and superseding plans.
Calibration Due Exposure
Groups current approved plans by location and criticality, showing overdue instruments and unresolved holds without counting superseded plans.
As-Found Drift History
Compares accepted observations for the same instrument, method point and unit, preserving uncertainty and method changes that limit comparability.
Agent support
An assistant cannot invent measurement results, uncertainty values or missing use history. It cannot approve its principal's own preparation, assert accreditation, release a held instrument or issue a product recall. Human decisions must use authenticated authority and the server-enforced controls specified for the application.
