Keys and references
A reservation connects one guest party to one unit for an arrival and departure period. The linked reservation is the common key for extra bookings, tasks, charges and payments. Service tasks also reference a unit and an assigned staff member. People links to Users for the staff identity. Keep those references intact when moving historical bookings or charges into the app.
Migration order
- Load Users and People, then the unit inventory and guest Parties.
- Load rate plans with their effective date ranges and unit types.
- Load Reservations with their guest and unit references, dates and statuses.
- Add linked amenity bookings and service tasks with their reservations and assignees.
- Add folio charges, utility charges and Payments against the correct reservations.
- Check exchange rates and reconcile source identities before staff work from the imported records.
