- Who it's for
- Independent retail
Independent retail
An independent retailer can keep a focused catalog, variant prices, carts and orders in one operating record. The team can review stock by warehouse code, choose active shipping methods and handle a refund against the original order.
How Click & Collect System is set up for you
Merchandising
Catalog Manager owns product titles, variants, categories and collections so a shopper's choice points to a precise SKU.
Order service
Customer Service Rep uses the customer order and event history to answer questions and prepare refund requests.
Fulfillment
Warehouse Operator checks variant stock and shipment progress before changing an order's fulfillment picture.
An independent retailer can keep a focused catalog, variant prices, carts and orders in one operating record. The team can review stock by warehouse code, choose active shipping methods and handle a refund against the original order.
Start with the products that receive the most orders, one catalog and the shipping methods actually offered. The owner should check payment evidence and order status with the service rep before the warehouse processes a busy day. Review one normal order and one exception with the people who actually own those decisions. Confirm the order number, product variant, shipping method and financial status in the same case.
When the team expands the scope, decide who maintains tax rates, discount windows and active payment choices for each catalog. Keep external provider references alongside the related order or shipment. This gives the owner a clear way to compare the app record with a payment or carrier record during reconciliation.
For a repeat customer, compare the new order with the customer record and prior order history before changing an address or starting a refund. This keeps the service response tied to the purchase the shopper actually made.

Roles on the team
- Warehouse Operator
- Floor worker. Picks, packs, prints labels, marks shipments and handles RMA intake, with physical inventory adjustment. Order read is restricted to shipping data; payments, refunds, pricing and customer accounts are out of scope.
- Marketing Manager
- Owns promotions, lifecycle email, acquisition and retention: discount rules, merchandised collections and email send configuration, with read access to customers, orders, carts, reviews and sessions.
- Customer Service Rep
- Front line for shopper support: order lookups, address edits pre-ship, cancellations, notes, refunds and RM as within ceiling, and review moderation. Card data masked; cost and margin masked.
- Catalog Manager
- Merchandising lead. Owns product authoring, category taxonomy, collection curation, SEO metadata, imagery and copy. Read-only on inventory, orders and reviews (can flag, cannot finalise moderation).
- Merchant Owner
- Founder / Head of E-commerce. Owns the online P&L, merchandising, pricing and promotional posture. Full read on every table, record entry on catalog, pricing, promotion and payment configuration, and approve refunds above threshold.
