Step by step

1. Prepare catalog Catalog Manager

   Catalog Manager checks the catalog currency, active product, and variant SKU before the range is offered.

   • Confirm the selected variant belongs to an active product in the intended catalog.
   • Updates Catalogs, Products, Product variants

2. Set checkout choices Merchant Owner

   Merchant Owner checks the active payment and shipping methods, tax rate, and discount window for that catalog.

   • Record the choices that will be used when the cart becomes an order.
   • Updates Payment methods, Shipping methods, Tax rates, Discount rules

3. Build cart Customer

   Customer (external) selects a variant and quantity; the cart item retains the chosen unit price.

   • Match the cart item to its variant and catalog.
   • Updates Carts, Cart items

4. Check abandoned activity Marketing Manager

   Marketing Manager checks the abandoned cart’s recovery stage and looks for a linked recovered order.

   • Separate a recovered order from a cart still awaiting follow-up.
   • Updates Abandoned carts, Store sessions

Catalog Manager

, Merchant Owner, Customer (external), Marketing Manager work through these stages.

Each role checks the records named in its stage before changing the status.
