Systems to connect
- Cloud provider billing. Supply the daily account, service, usage date, cost center and amount used in cost lines.
- Provider account console. Keep each account’s console reference and contract context available to its owner.
- Billing API source. Document endpoint path, method, version and owner for the service that supplies billing events.
- Cost data store. Record the store and validated export runs used by downstream reporting.
How connections are governed
Agree the account and service naming rules before loading charges. Keep external event IDs and payload hashes on receipts so engineers can distinguish a repeat from a new event. Check ingestion runs and freshness by service before Finance Manager uses the figures. If a receipt is Rejected or Failed, investigate its endpoint and usage window, then verify the resulting charges. An export marked Completed is reviewed separately before it is marked Verified.
