- Cold Storage Management
- Implementation and operating rehearsal
How a Cold Storage Management rollout works
Start with a known cold room and test both accepted actions and the exceptions that protect stock.
Choose the first operating cycle
Select a familiar cold-storage location and item. Identify Inventory Clerk, Inventory Supervisor and Auditor, and agree the receiving or movement action to rehearse.
Prepare identities and stock
App Administrator maps the organization and team accounts. Inventory Clerk checks location eligibility, item units and lot receipt, expiry and release details.
Rehearse request decisions
Prepare a request and decide its current revision. Repeat with a stale request, and check that returned or escalated reasons give the clerk a clear next action.
Test stock commitments
Reserve eligible stock, attempt a quantity exceeding the free balance and review the failed receipt. Correct or cancel scope through the supported action and inspect the released hold.
Test excursion review
Submit an excursion linked to the request. Confirm that its creator cannot decide it, an older revision is refused and only an approved record can be completed.
Verify inventory effects
Execute approved work, repeat the action and inspect the single intended stock effect. Test compensation through reversal and reconcile matching and mismatched quantities before expanding the scope.
What the customer provides
Bring the item and location register, lot balances and the unit conventions used on the floor. Include a familiar request with its supporting documents, an example excursion and the source of its sensor context. Provide the people responsible for stock decisions and the operating rules for lot selection and reservation expiry.
Changing it afterwards
Review changes to authorized quantity through the correction action so held stock is released appropriately. Use compensating reversals for posted effects that need correction. Rehearse policy or connection changes with both a successful case and a failure case, keeping earlier decisions and operation evidence available to Auditor.
