Execution to verified completion

Execute the approved quantity once, then reconcile posted effects before treating completion evidence as verified.

Step by step

  1. Confirm approved scope Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk opens the approved stock request and confirms the item, lot and quantity appropriate to the supported action. Inventory Supervisor resolves any authorization question before execution.

    • Select the authorized request and lot context
    • Updates Stock requests, Stock lots
  2. Execute the stock action Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk runs the approved action. It posts the signed movement, adjusts the lot's on-hand quantity and marks the request Executed. The operation writes a Recorded receipt linked to the request.

    • Post signed quantity and record execution
    • Updates Stock requests, Stock movements, Stock lots, Operation receipts
  3. Inspect the recorded effect Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk reviews the resulting movement and receipt. If the action is retried with its existing identity, it reuses the original stock effect. Check the recorded result before treating an uncertain response as a reason to create another request.

    • Locate the original effect and repeated outcome
    • Updates Stock movements, Operation receipts
  4. Reconcile completion Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor compares the posted movement total with the authorized quantity through the reconciliation action. A match writes a Verified receipt. A mismatch writes a Failed receipt and leaves the request unchanged for investigation.

    • Write Verified or Failed without hiding a mismatch
    • Updates Stock requests, Stock movements, Operation receipts
  5. Review the evidence Auditor

Auditor follows the request decision, posted movement and operation receipts. Inventory Supervisor handles failures through the supported scope-correction or reversal process, retaining the earlier outcome for later review.

    • Follow the authorization and resulting stock effect
    • Updates Review decisions, Stock movements, Operation receipts

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A Recorded receipt is taken as a completed reconciliation. Inspect the verification outcome for the request.
  • A retry creates another source request. Reuse the existing action identity when confirming the original result.
  • A mismatch is cleared by editing historical evidence. Investigate the cause and use the supported correction path.
