Temperature excursion to completion

Submit the actual excursion context, obtain an independent decision and complete only an approved record.

Step by step

  1. Capture the observation Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk links the excursion to the affected stock request and records the sensor reference, actual start, peak temperature in Fahrenheit and duration. Add relevant supporting material to the request so the reviewer can locate it.

    • Record the observation and parent context
    • Updates Temperature excursions, Stock requests, Record attachments
  2. Submit the excursion Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk submits the Draft record through the excursion action. The accepted step moves it to Submitted and raises its revision. Keep that current version available for the independent review.

    • Move Draft to Submitted and raise the revision
    • Updates Temperature excursions
  3. Make the independent decision Inventory Supervisor

A permitted Inventory Supervisor approves or rejects the Submitted excursion. The person who created it cannot decide it. The action checks the current revision and refuses stale or otherwise invalid moves, then advances the accepted revision.

    • Move Submitted to Approved or Rejected with a new revision
    • Updates Temperature excursions
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Complete approved review work Inventory Clerk

Inventory Clerk completes an Approved excursion using the current revision. A Rejected record cannot be completed through the approval path. Review the associated stock request and lot eligibility before carrying out further stock work.

    • Move Approved to Completed through the action
    • Updates Temperature excursions, Stock requests
  5. Follow the parent request Inventory Supervisor

Auditor reads the excursion beside its parent request and supporting material. Inventory Supervisor confirms the separate stock authorization and the operating implications of the decision.

    • Review context and separate stock authorization
    • Updates Temperature excursions, Stock requests, Record attachments

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The creator also tries to make the decision. Use a permitted reviewer who is a different person.
  • A second reviewer acts on a revision that has already changed. Refresh the current state before attempting any further action.
  • The team treats excursion completion as its entire stock release decision. Review the lot's eligibility and the authorized request scope separately.
