Service and reset

At the end of a client session, the booking and kitchen need separate decisions. Property Manager closes the booking after reviewing charges and receipts. Cleaning work and inspection determine when the kitchen can be offered again.

Step by step

  1. Complete booking Property Manager

Property Manager reviews posted charges and confirmed payments, and agrees with Finance Officer how to handle any remaining amount. The booking moves from in progress to Completed, and the kitchen enters Cleaning.

    • Records `Status: In progress → Completed` and kitchen `Status: Cleaning`
    • Updates Bookings, Booking charges, Add on charges, Payments, Kitchens
  2. Record cleaning Front Desk Agent

Front Desk Agent assigns a Cleaning task linked to the kitchen and booking. The assigned team member records progress and completion.

    • Tracks Cleaning work through `Status: Open → Completed`
    • Updates Service tasks, Team members, Kitchens, Bookings
  3. Reset kitchen Property Manager

Property Manager reviews the finished task and inspection evidence before returning the kitchen to Available. The kitchen can then be considered for another request.

    • Records kitchen `Status: Cleaning → Available` after review
    • Updates Kitchens, Service tasks
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A pending payment is treated as confirmed. Finance Officer should keep provider confirmation separate from booking completion.
  • The team overlooks an add-on charge while reviewing the final account. Inspect both booking and add-on charges under the source booking.
  • A cleaning task is marked done without the kitchen being inspected. Property Manager should check readiness before changing kitchen status.
  • Another request is confirmed for a kitchen still in Cleaning or Maintenance. Review Kitchen Availability and the open tasks first.
