Community organizations
A community organization often knows the need before it knows which program will fund it. Use a funding case to bring the request, source observations and supporting documents into one place. The owner can prepare the request while an independent reviewer examines the program fit and evidence. After the decision, follow-up actions show which local commitments remain.
How Community Development Platform is set up for you
Neighborhood requests
Capture a need's description, quantity, unit and source reference, then link it to a case for the chosen program.
Evidence review
Keep attachments and their verification state visible to the reviewer deciding on a specific revision.
Accountable delivery
Trace the decided case to an operation run and receipt before reporting it as delivered.
A community organization often knows the need before it knows which program will fund it. Use a funding case to bring the request, source observations and supporting documents into one place. The owner can prepare the request while an independent reviewer examines the program fit and evidence. After the decision, follow-up actions show which local commitments remain.
Choose one active program and a small set of representative cases. Include a straightforward request, a returned case and a delivered case with a follow-up. Agree who records observations, who owns the case and who can serve as Independent Grant Reviewer. Use stable organization and program codes so outside partners can refer to the same records. Confirm the reviewer can inspect each source without gaining permission to edit the prepared case.
For a neighborhood access project, enter separate need lines for equipment and training. The Program Officer can mark one need Accepted and another Pending while the reviewer returns the case for better evidence on the latter. Keep both lines and the review reason on the case. If the approved item reaches delivery, the team should be able to find the external receipt from the case workspace. A later correction belongs to a successor revision and assigned follow-up, with earlier evidence retained.
Features to start with
Programs and organizations
Define the organization and program that give every funding case its context.
Follow-up and corrections
Assign unresolved work while retaining earlier decisions and delivery evidence.
Delivery and receipts
Trace an approved action through its run, attempts and external receipts.
Roles on the team
- Program Officer
- Prepares assigned work: record entry on Funding Cases, Community Needs, Follow Up Actions and Record Attachments, read-only on configuration, review and provenance tables. Scope to authorized organizations is enforced by workflow guards.
- Independent Grant Reviewer
- Reviews independent assigned work: record entry on Review Decisions only, read-only on every other table. Reviewers cannot approve their own preparation; the workflow guards enforce reviewer independence.
