How the model is organised

Household and people

Households and People anchor patient identity, assigned workers and user accounts.

Care work

Household visits connects encounters to clinical notes, visit observations, Charges, Specimens and pharmacy dispensations.

Continuity and authority

Care team assignments, Consents, clinical privileges and follow up actions retain care assignment, consent, privilege and follow-up context.

Finance and reference

Keys and references

The household reference ties visits, consent, follow-up and payments to the patient. A visit reference ties notes, charges, specimens and dispensations to the care episode. People links the worker, note author, observation recorder and dispensation authorizer to the staff directory. People in turn links to Users. Keep those references intact during an import so a reviewer can trace an outcome to the right patient, encounter and person.

Migration order

  1. Load Users and People, then check the person-to-user links.
  2. Load Households with patient numbers and assigned workers.
  3. Load care team assignments, Consents and clinical privileges with their dates and statuses.
  4. Load household visits with household and worker links.
  5. Load clinical notes, visit observations, Specimens, pharmacy dispensations and Charges against visits.
  6. Load follow up actions and Payments against households; check exchange rates separately if the finance setup uses them.
