Settlement operations
Settlement operations depend on knowing which requests were authorized, which were sent and which the provider actually confirmed. Core Banking System separates those events in the instruction lifecycle and retains provider evidence against the originating request. The operations team can follow a pending instruction by provider reference without reporting it as complete before a verified confirmation or settlement notice arrives.
How Core Banking System is set up for you
Submission control
The preparer sends only an authorized revision through a guarded action and retains the stable operation key.
Provider follow-up
Submitted and pending work stays visible with its requested and value dates, amount and provider instruction identifier.
Verified outcome
A confirmation or settlement notice is checked before the instruction is marked confirmed.
Exception trail
Failed or uncertain operation receipts and unmatched movements keep a reason and source reference for the investigator.

Core Banking System separates those events in the instruction lifecycle and retains provider evidence against the originating request. The operations team can follow a pending instruction by provider reference without reporting it as complete before a verified confirmation or settlement notice arrives.
Choose one provider connection and a realistic instruction that normally produces a later settlement notice. Rehearse a delayed response: the team should find the instruction among pending work and identify who is following up. Add the verified notice, then reconcile the corresponding movement to the confirmed instruction and account. Repeat a provider notification under the same event identity and check that the team does not count it twice. Finally, simulate a timeout where the external effect is uncertain; use the receipt and provider reference to investigate before any further execution.
Features to start with
Roles on the team
- Independent Treasury Approver
- Review eligible instruction revisions independently and reconcile operational evidence. Approve or reject through guarded actions only; no unrestricted editing of protected or executed records; a reviewer cannot approve their own submission.
- Treasury Preparer
- Prepare assigned operational records and execute eligible reviewed actions. Own organization and draft scope only; accepted, posted and provider evidence is read-only; guarded workflows authorize every transition.
- App Administrator
- Maintain organization configuration and membership. Administrative membership does not confer approval, financial or execution authority and cannot grant an independent reviewer entitlement.
- Auditor
- Read authorized evidence and reports in a scoped, read-only audit view. No record writes and no action execution.
