  • Exchange-rate source

Systems to connect

  • Order management. Set up the downstream connection that receives an accepted quote and its lines. Agree the destination’s response and the real external reference that confirms the result. An absent connection leaves the handoff Pending.
  • Product pricing source. Agree how your existing source provides product codes, USD prices and the price book revision used in quoting. Validate the entered line values before sending the quote to review.
  • Exchange-rate source. Establish the read-only effective-rate source and the procedure for preparing USD quote prices when your source list uses another currency.

How connections are governed

The Quote Specialist requests handoff for accepted scope with the expected revision. The operation identity stays tied to that quote and revision, including retries. Keep the actual destination response available for investigation. A receipt should show a successful result only when the evidence supports it.

Assign connection maintenance during setup and restrict credentials to the people responsible for that work. Rehearse an unavailable destination and an uncertain response with the Pricing Reviewer. Use reconciliation to inspect existing claims before considering another execution. The Auditor should be able to follow the retained outcome without needing access to private connection credentials.
