Keys and references

Preserve record identities during migration. Most records expose Id; exchange rates uses ID. Quotes.record number is the human quote reference, while Organizations.Code and Customers.Code distinguish business accounts. Do not replace a referenced record because its display name changes.

Use Quotes.Revision, quote lines.Revision and review decisions.source revision to align commercial evidence. Kitchen packages.Revision tracks the package separately. Operation receipts.expected revision and operation key identify the guarded request. Users.User is a reference to Users and must be inspected in the target account mapping before import. Exchange rates has no declared relationship to Quotes.

Migration order

  1. Identity and dealer context. Establish Users and Organizations, then connect team members to the correct organization and platform account.
  2. Customer accounts. Load Customers with valid organization references, active settings and contact details.
  3. Commercial drafts. Load Quotes and quote lines with aligned parent references and revisions. Confirm USD amounts before requesting pricing.
  4. Readiness and evidence. Link kitchen packages and record attachments to their quotes, preserving uploader identity and visibility.
  5. Historical decisions. Preserve review decisions and operation receipts only with their original revision, outcome and references. Do not recreate old approvals as new actions.
