How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure CPQ for Commercial Kitchen Equipment for your business. Start with a familiar customer, an equipment quote and a linked kitchen package. Assign a Quote Specialist and an independent Pricing Reviewer, then rehearse acceptance and the order connection.
How are equipment amounts calculated?
Each line uses quantity times unit price less the line discount, all expressed in USD. The quote’s net amount is the sum of its calculated equipment lines. Agree the pricing inputs and price book reference during setup.
What does the kitchen package contain?
The package records utility supply, appliance count, required-by date and its own revision and status. Attach supporting site information to the parent quote so the reviewer can assess the submitted package.
Who approves the quote?
Pricing Reviewer makes an independent decision on the current commercial revision and records a reason. The reviewer can approve, reject or return the quote. The Quote Specialist handles corrections after a return.
Does package approval accept the commercial offer?
Package readiness and commercial acceptance are separate decisions. Package approval and completion leave the quote’s prices and commercial state unchanged. Customer acceptance follows approval of a valid commercial revision.
What happens when the customer responds after expiry?
The acceptance action checks quote validity and refuses an expired request. The Quote Specialist follows up on the commercial terms before attempting another acceptance action against an eligible revision.
How does accepted equipment reach order management?
Set up the order connection during implementation. The handoff sends the accepted revision and equipment lines, then records the destination’s reference and outcome in an operation receipt. Without a connection the receipt stays Pending.
Can the team retry an uncertain handoff?
The accepted quote handoff uses a stable operation identity tied to the quote and revision. Inspect the existing receipt and destination evidence before retrying so the team can preserve the same outcome and avoid duplicate work.
How are changes after acceptance handled?
Quote Specialist requests a correction within authorized scope. Pricing Reviewer approves the compensating action for executed work, preserving the original accepted quote and decision evidence.
Can an Auditor change a quote?
Auditor reads authorized evidence and reports. That access supports tracing a commercial decision or unresolved receipt without changing the quote’s outcome. Rehearse the role with a real pilot account before release.
