Prepare a kitchen equipment quote

Establish the buying account, assigned owner and equipment scope before requesting pricing.

Step by step

  1. Confirm the customer App Administrator

App Administrator checks the active customer, contact and address under the correct dealer organization. Resolve a duplicate account before it becomes the parent context for another commercial offer.

    • Establish account and membership context
    • Updates Customers, Organizations, Team members
  2. Assign the draft Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist creates a Draft quote with its number, subject, owner and validity date. The subject explains the kitchen equipment scope clearly enough for the reviewer to recognize the request.

    • Create assigned Draft scope and validity
    • Updates Quotes
  3. Enter equipment Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist adds the product codes, quantities and USD values to the quote revision. Keep the line revision aligned with the parent before requesting pricing.

    • Prepare the revision's equipment values
    • Updates Quote lines, Quotes
  4. Attach the request Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist adds the relevant customer instruction and site material, choosing Internal or Shared visibility deliberately. The evidence should explain the equipment selection and any readiness questions.

    • Retain evidence with chosen visibility
    • Updates Record attachments
  5. Request pricing Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist checks the current revision and price book reference, then requests calculation. The next commercial decision belongs to the Pricing Reviewer after pricing reaches Review.

    • Submit the current draft for calculation
    • Updates Quotes, Quote lines

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Similar account names. Check the customer code and address before assigning the quote. A familiar name alone may refer to the wrong kitchen location.
  • Changed quantities. A request prepared before an equipment revision must not overwrite newer work. Review the current draft before retrying.
  • Unclear evidence. A vague attachment title makes independent review harder. Identify what the document explains and who uploaded it.
