Systems to connect
- Downstream order system. Configure the destination for accepted quote handoff. Map the accepted revision and line detail, then agree what real response establishes completion and supplies the external reference.
- Pricing source. Set up the chosen source for product codes and unit prices if the team imports them. Retain the price book revision used for the offer and check the mapping before pricing a wider set of lines.
- Engineering evidence source. Bring the customer requirement and supporting rack assessment into the quote’s evidence. Agree who maintains those documents and which material the reviewer uses to assess power and space requirements.
- Customer correspondence. Configure the chosen delivery or response channel if acceptance evidence comes from another system. Confirm the customer and quote revision before recording the response against the offer.
How connections are governed
Name the person responsible for each connection and limit it to the agreed organization scope. Test line mapping and real target responses with the pilot offer. When a handoff remains Pending, inspect the current receipt before repeating the request. Reuse the intended operation key under the configured retry procedure, and retain a concrete discrepancy when the local record and external response disagree. Set attachment visibility deliberately before customer-facing delivery.
