Quote approval and acceptance

Independently decide a priced revision and record customer acceptance while the approved offer remains valid.

Step by step

  1. Open the current offer Pricing Reviewer

Pricing Reviewer opens the quote in Review and reads its calculated lines, customer context and attachments. Compare the expected revision with the offer being decided and check its validity date.

    • Inspect priced revision and customer evidence
    • Updates Quotes, Quote lines, Customers, Record attachments
  2. Make the commercial decision Pricing Reviewer

Pricing Reviewer independently records Approve, Reject or Return with a reason. Approve moves the offer to Approved; Reject moves it to Rejected; Return records the reason for further preparation. The decision retains its source revision and operation key.

    • Record Approve, Reject or Return against the revision

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Preparation and approval overlap. Assign an independent Pricing Reviewer and test the preparer's attempted approval before live use.
  • Customer response refers to an old offer. Confirm the accepted revision before recording the response. Resolve a changed proposal through preparation and review.
  • Validity has ended. Check the validity date and follow the team's fresh-offer process before attempting acceptance again.
