Systems to connect

  • Order system. Set up the customer’s downstream order destination for accepted quote handoff. Agree how the accepted revision and its line values are transferred, what response proves the effect and which external reference returns to the operation receipt. An unavailable connection leaves the request Pending.
  • Price input source. Agree how the team’s existing price source supplies USD product prices and costs for draft preparation. Map its product codes and record the price book revision with the quote. Set up a connection if the team wants those inputs imported from an external source.
  • Customer master. When an existing customer system supplies account data, agree its code, contact and address mappings with App Administrator. Preserve the selling organization and eligibility information used by the quote.

How connections are governed

App Administrator and the connection owner agree the organization scope and mappings during setup. Quote Specialist requests the business action using the current authorized revision. Pricing Reviewer retains the commercial decision; access to a connection does not replace that decision.

Handoff requests retain a stable identity for the quote revision. Confirm the order destination’s behavior for repeated requests before operational release. Record genuine external references and effect evidence. Auditor investigates pending or disputed outcomes through the receipts, while reconciliation compares local evidence without repeating the transfer.

Use customer acceptance and order handoff for the transfer rehearsal.
