How a Medical Devices CPQ rollout works

Rehearse a device offer from scoped Draft preparation through independent review and a confirmed order handoff.

  1. Choose the pilot

Select a selling organization, eligible customer and familiar device offer. Agree the USD pricing basis, validity convention and required-date meaning.

  2. Prepare access and masters

App Administrator maintains organizations, membership and customer details. Admin checks account mapping. Assign a Quote Specialist and an independent Pricing Reviewer.

  3. Rehearse quote preparation

Prepare device lines and offer requirements. Price the explicit Draft revision, reproduce the line calculation and submit the requirement for its separate decision.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Return a quote for correction, approve the revised price and capture customer acceptance. Test owner self-approval, stale revisions and expired validity alongside the normal path.

  5. Verify the handoff

Test the downstream connection and operation receipts. Repeat the same handoff identity, inspect a Pending result without a connection and investigate a discrepancy before treating it as complete.

What the customer provides

Bring the selling organization details, account eligibility notes, team membership and device product codes. Supply representative USD prices and discounts with their price-book revision, along with the model, unit count and training expectations for the pilot. Identify the downstream order destination and the evidence that proves its result.

Changing it afterwards

Use the authorized correction path when pricing input changes. Keep the decision tied to the revision examined, and preserve earlier evidence when Accepted scope needs a reviewer-approved compensating action. Rehearse permission, document visibility and connection changes before expanding the customer scope.
