Review device requirements

Submit a device offer requirement for an independent decision while keeping quote economics separate.

Step by step

  1. Describe the requirement Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist records the device model, unit count, required date and training requirement for the quote and selling organization. Make the requested handoff clear enough that the reviewer can explain it back to the owner.

    • Capture the device offer's requirement context
    • Updates Device offer requirements, Quotes, Organizations
  2. Submit the revision Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist submits the Draft requirement, moving it to Submitted. Keep the submitted revision identifiable so a later change cannot silently become part of an earlier decision.

    • Move eligible Draft scope to Submitted
    • Updates Device offer requirements, Operation receipts
  3. Decide the requirement Pricing Reviewer

Pricing Reviewer independently approves or rejects the submitted scope. The requirement moves to Approved or Rejected with its decision timing; its decision does not approve the quote price.

    • Record independent approval or rejection
    • Updates Device offer requirements, Operation receipts
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Complete the authorized scope Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist follows the agreed completion action for the approved requirement. Completion records the requirement outcome while the parent quote retains its own pricing and acceptance state.

    • Complete Approved requirement scope
    • Updates Device offer requirements, Operation receipts
  5. Return to the commercial handoff Quote Specialist

Quote Specialist checks the quote's next action and retains any relevant evidence. Training delivery or other downstream work follows the responsible external process agreed during setup.

    • Keep requirement outcome separate from quote economics
    • Updates Quotes, Device offer requirements

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The required date has a different meaning for the specialist and the reviewer.
  • A changed model or unit count is treated as covered by a decision on an earlier revision.
  • A completed requirement is mistaken for pricing approval, customer acceptance or proof that training was delivered.
