How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure CPQ for Telecom Equipment for your business. Begin with a familiar hardware and license offer, an eligible customer and the network requirements the reviewer needs. Rehearse pricing, independent review and acceptance before testing the downstream order handoff.

What network requirements can we record?

Record the frequency band, port count, license term in months and required date against the quote and selling organization. Agree the technical review checklist with the specialists responsible for the equipment being offered.

How is a quote line priced?

The line value is quantity multiplied by USD unit price, less the USD discount entered for that line. Pricing totals the calculated lines for the quote. Agree the line-discount convention and source price-book revision before importing commercial values.

Does configuration approval change the price?

Configuration approval and commercial pricing are separate. Completing an approved configuration does not change the parent quote’s economic state. If a requirement change needs different equipment or license pricing, prepare and review that quote change explicitly.

Who can approve a quote?

Pricing Reviewer independently decides the eligible quote revision through the governed review action. Quote preparation, administration and audit access do not substitute for that authority. Use different people for preparation and independent review.

What happens when the customer responds after expiry?

Validity and revision checks govern acceptance. Follow the agreed commercial process to resolve the expired offer and obtain an eligible current decision before recording acceptance. Keep the customer response associated with the offer it actually refers to.

Does an accepted quote mean an order exists?

Customer acceptance and downstream order creation are separate outcomes. Follow the handoff receipt and actual external reference. If the order connection is unavailable, the handoff remains pending without a fabricated order identity.

Can we correct an accepted offer?

Use the authorized correction process and the required reviewer-approved compensating action for accepted scope. Preserve the original quote and decision history so the team can explain both the accepted offer and the later correction.

How are supporting files controlled?

Attachments belong to the quote and retain their uploader, date and evidence type. Internal and Shared visibility distinguish the intended audience. Test actual file access during setup, including direct links and the customer handoff.

Does the system provision the network or bill the customer?

Network provisioning and billing stay with the systems responsible for those operations. Configure the accepted-quote order connection and agree how the receiving team uses the commercial result. Technical evidence supports the review performed by your appointed specialists.
