Keys and references

Each opportunity points to an organization, owner and account counterparty. An opportunity line points back to its opportunity and may point to a product. A relationship activity, retention follow-up, review decision, operation receipt or attachment can carry the parent opportunity reference. A retention follow-up can also point to an account. Keep references within the same organization when importing records.

Migration order

  1. Organization. Create the organization, users and team members first.
  2. Buyer and product references. Import accounts, contacts and products with the right organization.
  3. Sales history. Import opportunities, interest lines and relationship activities.
  4. Retention history. Import follow-ups, review decisions, attachments and operation receipts after their parent opportunities exist.
