Keys and references
Use each record’s identifier for migration and retain the required organization reference on scoped records. The opportunity is the common parent for lines, activities, sessions, decisions and receipts. A contact’s account and the opportunity’s counterparty should refer to the same real customer in a worked case. A session’s parent opportunity is required; its account reference can give a direct route back to the school or family. Check reviewer and owner references against active team members.
Migration order
- Create Organizations and team members; settle access to Users.
- Import Accounts and their Contacts, then Products used in proposals.
- Import Opportunities with their account counterparty, owner and primary contact.
- Add opportunity lines and relationship activities to the correct opportunities.
- Add tutoring sessions, then review decisions, operation receipts and record attachments with their parent links.
