Record the opportunity outcome

An open opportunity is a forecast of a decision. The Close Outcome workflow records the decision the caller supplies, moves the opportunity to Won or Lost and writes an operation receipt. The Account Owner and Sales Lead should agree that the customer's answer is ready to record.

Step by step

  1. Offer reviewed Account Owner

The Account Owner checks the account, proposal lines, primary contact and latest activity before asking for a close.

    • Confirms the offer and conversation history
    • Updates Opportunities, Opportunity lines, Relationship activities
  2. Customer result confirmed Account Owner

The owner learns whether the school or family accepted or declined and captures the reason that explains the result.

    • Identifies the buyer's decision
    • Updates Contacts, Opportunities
  3. Outcome recorded Account Owner

The Close Outcome workflow writes the Won or Lost status and an operation receipt using the caller-supplied outcome and reason.

    • Stores Won or Lost and operation evidence
    • Updates Opportunities, Operation receipts
  4. Handoff checked Sales Lead

The Sales Lead checks the result. For a won tutoring engagement, the owner can connect subsequent session work to the opportunity.

    • Keeps later tutoring work tied to the deal
    • Updates Opportunities, Tutoring sessions
